May. 21, 8:54 AM, The word is out that local yellowtail are showing up around the kelp beds off of Dana Point and a few were caught off of Abalone Point Monday morning. These are great signs for any early season.

May. 1, 1:05 PM, Hopefully this is a sign of more good things to come in the month of May. A half day out of Davey's Locker caught their very first exotic of the year, 125 lbs opah. Great job!

Unfavorable conditions are coming up so I'm sure the reports will slow down.

Their keyed in on squid, but the majority of yellows were hooked on the yo-yo. Mar. 17, 10:18 AM, The Coronados are still producing a decent grade of yellows on the yo-yo iron. There are a lot of private boaters getting in on the action, but the 3/4 day sportboats out San Diego are crushing it!

Feb. 18, 7:59 AM, Reports are coming in from La Jolla that a nice grade of yellowtail are on the chew. Their hanging around 20 fathoms and keyed in on live squid.
