The curse is over! Update......got a bigger one.......

In July I gave it a shot again........this time with Barry Brightenburg of Always an Adventure Charters......and got this 49.8lber.............
We fished off La Jolla on a great squid nest. I was watching the meter and saw a seabass chase a ball of squid across the screen. Then my reel in the rod holder started screaming........and this is what came up. We ended the night with another nice 45lber and now my torphy 49lb seabass is on my wall at the office!
